Hurricane Mathew has devastated the Caribbean in the past few days. It has been the strongest Caribbean storm in over a decade resulting in more than 1,000 fatalities. The category 4 hurricane is expected to make landfall later this week. Here are some organizations asking for your help.
All Hands Volunteers – All Hands Volunteers is the world’s leading disaster relief organization run by volunteers. They are collecting applications for volunteers to help out and are also collecting donations to help out with the fees.
UNICEF – UNICEF is the world’s leading humanitarian and development agency working globally for child rights. UNICEF is accepting donations to ensure immediate live saving care to children who were affected.
Save The Children – Save The Children has long worked with communities in Haiti, it helps support 131 schools in Haiti. In this time of need, Save The Children has already sent out an emergency response team to help. They are also making supply kits to distribute. They are accepting donations.
The American Red Cross – The Red Cross is one of the world’s leading humanitarian organizations in the world. The American division is opening more than 100 shelters for those affected.
Sumerian’s Purse – is a nondenominational Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to those in need around the world. They are accepting donations to help in Haiti.
